All other Futsal makings are in blue, including the keepers box.

Slide tackles

1. Slide tackles are not permitted in this comp under any circumstances.
2. The rule generally states that the ball must not be played at whilst on the ground. However, it is accepted that it can be played from the ground provided that no other player is within striking/playing distance of the ball.

General Information

1. Game Starts & Kick Offs

a) Games are scheduled to start as per the schedule. If a team is 4min late they will have to forfeit.

b) The attacking team can no longer score directly from a kick off (from Sept 2010). The defending team must be outside the 3m circle.

2. Goal Keepers

a)" Two Touch". Keeper's will receive an indirect free kick against them if they touch the ball after they release it from their control and it hasn't touched an opoosition player. This includes a keeper taking a kick in.

b) "back-pass"; if he touches or controls the ball with his hands after it has been deliberately kicked to him by a team-mate. This includes "kick ins" from team mates.

c) Handling the ball outside the keeper's area. The position of the ball determines if it is handled outside the keepers box. It doesn't matter whether the keeper's feet or body are inside the box.

3. Kick ins

a) You have 4 seconds to take the kickin from when your team has possesion of the ball. The ball must be stationary when placed on or behind the line AND your feet must be outside the court or stepping on the line. See the Laws of the game for pictures.

b) The player kicking the ball is the only one the referee will listen to if a complaint is made that the defending team is too close.

c) Goals cannot be scored directly from kick ins or kick offs.

4. Accumulated Fouls

a) Each team is allowed 3 fouls per half. Each foul after that is taken at the second penalty mark or where the fould was commited. ALL players must be behind the ball and 5m away. This resets at half time.

5. Substitutes

a) Subs must be in their own half. So SWAP sides at half time.

b) Subs must wait for the player to come off the field before subbing on.

6. Red Cards

a) ALL red cards are a 1 week suspension.

b) Red Carded players can not come back onto the field to play. He must leave the field. A team will have to wait 2min before a new player can be substituted to take the red carded player's place. If there is no substitue the team will have to play minus the red carded player.

7. Spare players

a) You can borrow a player from another team to make 4 players. A team needs 4 players to kick off.

8. Ball hitting the ceiling/basketball hoop

a) As the venue is indoor, if the ball hits the ceiling it is counted as out of play and a kick in is taken by the defending team. There is also an overhanging basketball hoop above the goal at each end. The same rule applies.
