Updated Futsal Rules Fifa's Futsal Rules

Fifa have made changes to the official laws of the game.

They apply from the start of the new season. The main changes are:

• You can't score directly from a kick off anymore as the ball has to touch/or be passed to someone first (includes the keeper attempt to stop the ball)
• Kick ins - the ball can be placed anywhere behind the sidelines now. The 4sec time limit and the feet outside the court rule still apply.
• Keepers- 2 touch- ball has to touch an opposition player before GK can receive the ball again.(Passing over the halfway line doesnt apply anymore)
• Each team is allowed 3 accumulated fouls (instead of 5) before a penalty is awarded.
• If the time limit expires for a corner kick it becomes a goal clearance
• No slide tackles (local rule)
• Timeouts wont apply for any games (local rule)

General Rules

Uniforms & Player Equipment

• No Jewelery is to be worn during any games. This includes earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings & piercings.
• Eye glasses are not permitted unless they are approved for sports.
• Players will need to wear numbered shirts. Only flat soled shoes are permitted. No outdoor soccer boots are allowed. Shin pads & socks to cover them must be worn.
